Graham collects nearly 2,500 shoes for fundraiser

Graham Middle School’s PTA recently collected nearly 2,500 pairs of shoes as part of a school fundraiser.

In October and September, the school gathered 2,447 new and gently used pairs of shoes, which brought in $993.20, PTA President Peggy Prendergast told the Voice. The PTA worked with Funds2Orgs, a company that helps organize shoe drives and then distributes the shoes to small businesses in developing countries to resell.

Funds2Orgs pays shoe drive organizers based on the amount collected. According to Prendergast, the money raised will be used to support Graham students, teachers and staff.
