Hope to Health, a new committee of the El Camino Hospital Foundation devoted to women’s health causes, has awarded its first grant of $30,250 to RotaCare Free Clinic in Mountain View. The grant was presented at an evening event at the clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
“We selected the RotaCare Clinic as our first grant because it had demonstrated success as a clinic for the El Camino Hospital, and needed funding for women’s gynecological services,” said Linda Rodgers, president of Hope to Health.
Formed in March 2005, Hope to Health is made up of community members concerned with women’s health issues. This is its first full year of operation, and RotaCare is the first recipient of its funds.
Throughout 2006, the committee plans to review suggestions for programs that members wish to support for the following year, and those who have donated over $1,000 will have the chance to vote for their desired grantee.
