Local residents who died recently include:
Franklin Atkinson, age 83, of Belmont, who went to Menlo Park schools, attended Stanford University and was drafted in the NFL by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1963, died on April 14, 2025.
Thomas Gooding, age 88, of Lodi, who grew up in Redwood City, established the consulting company Gooding Associates, and found joy in gardening and golf, died on May 10, 2025.
