In addition to fireworks, barbecues and parades, the Fourth of July holiday tomorrow also means that many government offices and public services will be closed or operating on limited schedules.

Read on to see what will be impacted in the Mountain View area.

City services

City of Mountain View: City Hall, as well as many city departments and facilities, will be closed on Friday. Emergency services will continue to operate. For more information, visit mountainview.gov.

Mountain View Public Library: The library will be closed on Friday. For more information, visit library.mountainview.gov.

Transportation

Caltrain: Caltrain will operate using its weekend schedule on Friday. For more information, visit caltrain.com.

SamTrans: SamTrans will use its Sunday schedule on Friday. Ride Plus, which offers on-demand rides in East Palo Alto/Belle Haven and Half Moon Bay/El Granada, will continue to follow its normal schedule. For more information, visit samtrans.com.

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority: VTA will operate on its Sunday schedule on Friday. For more information, visit vta.org.

Federal, state services

U.S. Postal Service: Post offices will be closed for retail transactions on Friday and there will not be residential or business deliveries. Priority Mail Express will continue to be delivered. For more information, visit usps.com.
