El Camino Health is expanding its footprint with the recent purchase of a three-story office building in Mountain View.
The health care organization paid $22 million in an all-cash deal for an office property at 399 W. El Camino Real, according to real estate records obtained by The Mercury News that were filed with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office on Oct. 30.
El Camino Health spokesperson Christopher Brown told the Voice that the acquisition of the El Camino Real property, which is near downtown Mountain View, will bring together several physician practices in one location.
“This purchase aligns with our strategy to proactively address the growing demand for convenient, coordinated care in the region,” Brown said in an email. “As part of our mission, we remain dedicated to exploring opportunities that improve access and strengthen our presence.”
Earlier this year, El Camino Health broke ground on a new inpatient rehabilitation center in Sunnyvale, close to the Mountain View border, as part of a broader effort to expand its presence in the region.
The nonprofit health system owns and operates El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, as well as a hospital in Los Gatos and more than 20 outpatient care sites in the Bay Area.
