This weekend, Chinese mythology comes to life through puppets and music at Stanford Live, Palo Alto Philharmonic debuts a new symphony, jazz pianists Tammy Hall and Edward Simon perform in Palo Alto. Plus singer-songwriter Margo Cilker’s “Valley of Heart’s Delight” in Los Altos, guitarist Ron Artis II in Mountain View and Peninsula Women’s Chorus’ concert in the park.

Il Mercato di Che Fico opened March 21, just a few feet away from Che Fico Parco Menlo at Springline. I stopped by the Italian market and loaded up my basket with a variety of foods to try.

At 73 years old, Dong Hye Kim is working her first job, making kimbap out of a ghost kitchen in San Mateo with her daughter, Chihee Kim. Passionate about food and nutrition, the mother-daughter duo wants to offer a healthy fast-food option for busy families.

Ambrosia India Bistro opens in Los Gatos

A Monterey Indian food favorite has made its way to Los Gatos. Ambrosia India Bistro opened its fifth location along Santa Cruz Avenue March 22, replacing Vietnamese restaurant North, which closed after 10 years in business on Jan 6.
