Andrew Reilly scored 17 of his game-high 29 points in the second half in helping Los Altos beat Cupertino 60-49 Friday to remain atop the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division standings.
Jake Skaggs scored 16 of his 21 points following halftime. He also grabbed 10 rebounds for Los Altos (17-3, 8-1), which won its fifth straight.

The Eagles needed big efforts from Reilly and Skaggs to shake Cupertino, which held the lead for much of the first half. The fourth place Pioneers (10-11, 3-4) stayed competitive until Los Altos finished the game with a 9-2 run.
Reilly hit a pair of free throws with 2:40 remaining in the third quarter to put Los Altos ahead to stay. That sparked a 9-0 run to end the quarter and give Los Altos a 40-31 lead going into the fourth.
Steals and ensuing layups by Shawn Toney and Skaggs on consecutive possessions helped give the Eagles some breathing room during the run.
Los Altos was held without a field goal for the first 6:34 of the second quarter as Cupertino took a 22-21 halftime advantage.
Second place Mountain View stayed in close pursuit, beating Santa Clara 42-29.
That sets up another showdown between the rival schools at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Los Altos.
In the West Bay Athletic League, Sacred Heart Prep held court with a 95-29 victory over Pinewood at home Friday.
Aidan Braccia scored 24 points to lead the Gators (17-3, 10-0). Emmer Nichols added 19 points.
TJ O’Brien and Jake York stepped up to record double figures in scoring. O’Brien netted 12 points, which included three 3-pointers, and York had 11.
Eight different players combined for 15 3-pointers for SHP, led by Braccia with five.
Andrew McDowell and Jaden Norwood combined for 21 points for Pinewood (9-9, 4-7).
SHP plays at Menlo on Sunday evening.
Menlo (12-6, 6-3) downed Eastside Prep 72-39 in another WBAL game. Lucas Vogel scored 19 points, Daniel Solomon had 12 and Ryan Schaefer contributed 10.
Vika Arikia scored 15 points and Alfonso Coronado added 13 for Eastside Prep (3-12, 2-7), which was coming off a 47-40 victory over Harker on Thursday.
Priory (10-10, 6-4) fell to The King’s Academy 42-41 on Thursday. Tayo Sobomehin led Priory with 13 points, which included three 3-pointers, while Steve Emeneke added 11 and Oliver Conn had 10.
Priory and Harker have a Saturday afternoon meeting.
In Peninsula Athletic League South Division action, Menlo-Atherton beat Sequoia 69-40, and Woodside lost to Carlmont 60-44.
Ben Eisner scored 12 points for the Bears, one of 13 different players to score. Connor Cadigan added 10 points.
Trevor Sato scored 12 to lead Sequoia.
Menlo-Atherton (15-6, 8-2) remains in third place behind Carlmont (13-6, 8-1) and Burlingame (15-4, 7-1) with two games remaining.
Girls basketball
Vallory Kuelker scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Gunn beat University Prep of San Jose 60-39 in a non-league game Friday.
Mollie Kuelker added 14 points and Beverly Lamis had nine for the Titans (12-8), who play Palo Alto on Saturday afternoon.
Carmel Tong, Kean Annette Tong and Zara Wang combined for another 16 points.
In SCVAL De Anza Division play, Los Altos beat Lynbrook 37-32 as Abby Lu scored nine points, all on 3-pointers. Tessa Player, Tara Davari and Macy Watson combined for another 21 points.
Los Altos (13-6, 4-5) travels to play Arroyo in a non-league game Saturday.
In the PAL South Division, Fiona Steinmetz scored 19 points to lead Menlo-Atherton past Sequoia 42-33 on Senior Night.
Avary Sheldon added 14 points for M-A (11-9, 4-5), which won its fourth straight.
Lana Stores scored 13 for Sequoia (10-12, 3-7) and Aniyah Hall added 10.
Naomi Komandina scored 14 points and Emma Kinder had 13 but Woodside fell to Carlmont 53-36.
In the West Bay Athletic League Foothill Division, Valentina Saric hit a pair of free throws with 16 seconds remaining to play to put Priory ahead 54-53 and then blocked a shot with no time left to preserve Priory’s win over Notre Dame Belmont.
Saric led Priory (7-8, 3-3) with 22 points and eight rebounds. Shamira Bidaye added eight points and seven rebounds for Priory, which plays Menlo on Tuesday.
Menlo (11-7, 5-3) kept it close early against league-leader Pinewood (15-1, 8-0) before falling 53-34.
Alex Facelo scored 12 points, all on 3-pointers, for Pinewood while Washington-bound Elle Ladine added 27 points, 22 rebounds and blocked four shots.
In the WBAL Skyline Division, Sacred Heart Prep beat Castilleja 56-26.
