Mountain View police chief: Wounded officer is recovering at home, suspect is in custody

The suspect in the shooting of a Mountain View police officer early Saturday morning was arrested in Union City shortly before noon Sunday. It's the department's first officer shot in the line of duty in 20 years, police said.

Great work! A relief to know this shooter is off the streets, and for a long time it looks like. I expect he's facing some previous charges he didn't want to deal with that were a lot worse than getting charged with drunk driving;.
