Call it the trifecta of taste and transformation: the Rural Justice Summit, Slow Money Farm Fest, and SF Street Food Festival are turning the second weekend of November into California’s most flavorful field trip for ACTION! Part celebration, part education, all inspiration – these events remind us that food isn’t just something we eat; it’s an integrated system we continue to build together.
San Francisco Street Food Festival
Saturday, November 8, 2025 (11am – 8pm)
Location: China Basin Park in Mission Rock
The San Francisco Street Food Festival is back at a new waterfront location in Mission Rock. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the powerhouse incubator La Cocina, and the festival is doing it big – bringing together over 25 standout vendors (vegetarian and meat options) alongside live music, cooking demos, artisan crafts, family fun and that unmistakable street-food community energy. Bring your appetite, your outdoor spirit, and a blanket to picnic on – time for our tastebuds to explore. Tastes sold by the plate.

Rural Justice Summit
Friday and Saturday, Nov 7 – 8, 2025
Day 1 – First Annual Food and Farm Tour
Day 2 – Summit at UC Merced

If you’re hungry to connect with deep-rooted change-makers, the Rural Justice Summit will gather at University of California, Merced for a bold exploration of how farmers, land-stewards, food-producers and justice advocates alike are re-imagining the future of rural and urban landscapes in California.
Stories, art, skill-shares and actionable strategies are on hand to uplift rural communities who have long stewarded their land, water, food and culture.
Why go? Maybe you are a chef weaving local flavors, a land-lover seeking deeper connection to the soil, or an advocate ready to listen and act. Find inspiration and a network of kindred spirits organizing for food system change in San Joaquin Valley. Sliding scale tickets available here.

Also on hand next week (November 5 – 7) is on-the-scenes reporting from the Culinary Institute of America’s World of Flavors conference. The Food Party! will be live in Napa, CA posting play-by-plays of the food and fun happening at this internationally acclaimed gathering.
