Bookbinder and artist Jody Alexander opens a new exhibition today, April 8, at the Community School of Music and Arts, 230 San Antonio Circle, Mountain View. Her 14 sculpture installations combine books with chairs and other furniture, finding new homes for discarded tomes. Alexander teaches book arts at CSMA and Foothill College. CSMA’s Mohr Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show runs through May 31.
