With rain and strong winds in the forecast through Friday evening, and a cold weather advisory issued for the region, the city of Mountain View is publicizing resources available for those in need.
Outdoor temperatures in the area are expected to dip to the low- and mid-30s with wind gusts up to 30 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
The following facilities will be open for residents and visitors to stay warm and charge electronic devices:
Mountain View Public Library, 585 Franklin St. The library will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Mountain View Community Center, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave. The lobby will be open to the public 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Mountain View Senior Center, 266 Escuela Ave. The senior center will be open to those 55 years and older 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
Police Services Fire Administration Building, 1000 Villa St. The lobby will be open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The lobby will allow pets, as long as they aren’t aggressive and are leashed or in an animal carrier.
