Art: “Grandchildren on Vacation” at CSMA
The Community School of Music and Arts at Finn Center presents “Grandchildren on Vacation,” an exhibit of batiks by Mathangi Sundararajan in the Mohr Gallery vestibule. Sundararajan has been creating and teaching batik and tie dye for almost 40 years. Open weekdays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Aug. 13. Free. Performance: Open Mic Night at Red Rock
Red Rock Coffee’s Open Mic night happens every Monday from 7-10 p.m. Participants get 10 minutes — enough time for two songs, a few poems or a stand-up routine. Covers are fine, but original work is encouraged. Sign up at the cafe at 6:30 p.m. Red Rock is located at 201 Castro St.
