Volunteer birders from Friends of Bedwell Bayfront Park will lead a walk pointing out wintering bird species on Saturday (March 12) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walkers will meet along the park’s entrance road at the end of Marsh Road, Menlo Park. ■ Community: Palo Alto Arbor Day
On Saturday (March 12) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the public is invited to help plant trees at Eleanor Pardee Park, 851 Center Drive, Palo Alto. Other free events include tree walks, stories and a tree-climbing demonstration. The event is organized by Canopy. For more information, go to canopy.org.
■ Music: San Francisco Opera Adler Fellows
Current and former singers from the San Francisco Opera Adler Fellowship Program are scheduled to perform Sunday (March 13) at 2:30 p.m. in Stanford’s Dinkelspiel Auditorium. In the vocal/piano recital presented by Stanford Lively Arts, young singers will perform works by Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and others.
