A new exhibition of paintings by Redwood City massage therapist-turned-artist Gail Ragains is up in the lobby of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts at 500 Castro St. through Aug. 22. Ragains’ new work includes abstracts with thick, confident oil brushstrokes, and images of faceless, contemplative people. The free exhibition is open to the public one hour before every public performance in the center, and Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
