Palo Alto’s monthly live outdoor music event welcomes the summer solstice with music and performances from around the globe. Fresh off its one-year anniversary celebration last month, 3rdThursday Cal Ave showcases five groups and musicians for its June edition, which has the theme “International Voices and Dancing.” Performances take place throughout the evening along California Avenue on June 20.

The lineup features: Rasquache Liberation Front playing original songs drawing on a variety of Latin genres, from cumbia to son jarocho; World Harmony Chorus presenting tunes from an array of nations, including Argentina, Iceland, Korea and Zimbabwe; vocalist Annalise Belle singing a mix of rock, jazz, soul and folk; percussionist and songwriter James Henry playing a range of AfroFunk, reggae, soca and more; and Mosaic America presenting a dance traditions from around the world with Ensemble Folclórico Colibrí, Xpressions Dance and Farima Berenji.

Visitors can also enjoy food tastings, a photo booth and community art sharing curated by the Pacific Art League, according to the event website.

Some area restaurants and merchants offer extended hours and specials during the event.
