Festival season is often associated with summer, but the events calendar shows no signs of slowing down as autumn approaches. From fairs showcasing art and food to celebrations of summer’s end and the start of fall, here are 20 festivals happening in Silicon Valley in September and October. (Watch for our Oktoberfest events guide the week of Sept. 7.)
Belmont Greek Festival
Immerse yourself in Greek food and culture over Labor Day weekend at this longtime event in Belmont. Food includes Greek favorites like moussaka, baklava and souvlakia. Entertainment varies from mythology plays to dancing and the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra, with a live Greek band playing all day. Take-and-bake options will follow the festival for those still craving a taste of Greece.

Millbrae Art & Wine Festival
The 55th annual street fair features over 170 artists showcasing ceramics, glasswork, paintings, textiles and more. A beer tent, wine tasting and artisan food booths are on hand, plus live performers, interactive art workshops and a kids’ craft and games area. Park for free at the Millbrae BART Station and take a free shuttle to and from the event, or walk from the Millbrae Caltrain stop.

Kings Mountain Art Fair, Woodside
Held in the redwoods above the town of Woodside on Skyline Boulevard, this beloved community tradition and benefit for Kings Mountain Elementary and the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade kicks off with breakfast before the festival’s official start at 10 a.m. each day. The heart of the event is the art vendors, including local “mountain artists” and ones from all over California. Preview the artists or take a virtual walk of the fair online.

Silicon Valley Fall Fest, Cupertino
The Rotary Club of Cupertino hosts this all-day event featuring live entertainment, a petting zoo, a bike rodeo, a kids’ train and jump house, a roving magician, an art workshop demo, craft beer tasting and food trucks. A cultural parade at 3 p.m. celebrates “unity in diversity.” Free parking is available at De Anza College.

Mountain View Art & Wine Festival
Art aficionados mark their calendars for one of the biggest art and wine festivals in the region, featuring over 400 artists plus live music, wine tasting, kids’ activities, a community talent stage showcasing local up-and-coming performers, a collaborative paint temple, and a variety of food and drink vendors.

Kepler’s Summer Block Party, Menlo Park
Kepler’s Books hosts an all-ages block party to celebrate its summer reading passport program and kick off its shared reading initiative Community Reads program with a live reading of Dave Eggers’ “Her Right Foot.” There will also be light bites and drinks, a zine-making station, a community banner craft and a storytelling space.

Fiestas Patrias, Redwood City
Courthouse Square is the destination for this vibrant celebration of Latin countries and Mexican independence. Expect authentic Mexican food, live music and entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, ballet folklórico, a kids’ area and a traditional flag ceremony conducted by the Consul General de Mexico.

Pachanga Daly City

Flood Park Fallfest, Menlo Park
Join San Mateo County Parks for a celebration of autumn with free soccer and tennis workshops for all ages, face painting and crafts, live music from The Riots and food from Mister Softee and Lilo’s Kitchen food trucks.

Festa Italiana, South San Francisco
Find Italian food, music, dancing and vendors at this one-day festival in Orange Memorial Park. The Bordi Memorial Bocce Tournament will kick off the day’s festivities, which also include a car show and an exhibit from the Museo Italo Americano.

Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival
The 44th annual event features more than 170 artists and craft vendors, food, live entertainment, beer and wine. Bites range from $4-$25 and include everything from linguica sausage sandwiches and barbecue plates to deep-fried Oreos and funnel cakes. Summer’s End Music Festival, Half Moon Bay
Head to the Coastside to watch Moonalice, ballet folklórico, La Gente SF and more perform in downtown Half Moon Bay. The event also includes a photo booth, henna tattoos, face painting and caricatures.

Millbrae Mid-Autumn Festival
This annual celebration of the Chinese holiday includes lion and dragon dancing, artisan booths, food and live entertainment.

September Arts & Culture Fest, San Mateo
Join a day devoted to art, music, poetry, dance, food and culture in downtown San Mateo. The event includes live mural painting competitions, artists selling handcrafted wares, a poetry open mic and performances from musicians and community groups.

Fog Fest, Pacifica
Pacifica’s biggest weekend of the year features a parade (with the theme “Happy 250th Anniversary, America”), a Family Fun Fest devoted to healthy family play, the Fog Jog, live music, food and drinks, plus over 200 arts and crafts vendors.

Kasayahan Sa Daly City
Celebrate Filipino American Heritage History Month with food, live entertainment, merch vendors, a beer garden and a family fun zone.

Diwali 2026, Sunnyvale
The South Asian Cultural Association of Sunnyvale’s grand Diwali mela includes Indian classical dance and Bollywood flash mob dance performances, vendors selling Indian crafts, clothes and jewelry, a kids’ zone with face painting and a diya painting competition, Indian food, henna and photo booths.

San Carlos Art & Wine Faire
Live entertainment on three stages, over 200 artists, beer and wine, food and a family fun zone can be found in downtown San Carlos the second weekend of October.

Art & Pumpkin Festival, Half Moon Bay
The ultimate ode to fall, Half Moon Bay’s famous Art & Pumpkin Festival draws crowds to the Coastside for its slate of 275 artists and makers, live entertainment, the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Run, the Great Pumpkin Parade and a wide variety of pumpkin-themed food and drinks. Festivities kick off early with a new Moonlight Movie Night Oct. 10 and the annual pumpkin weigh-off Oct. 12.

Belmont Centennial Fest
The city of Belmont marks its 100th birthday with a car parade and a car show, followed by a time capsule ceremony and a festival filled with live music, food trucks, games and beer from Alpha Acid Brewing Company. The day will close with a drone show.
