Repair Cafe to host free event
Repair Cafe Mountain View is slated to operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 at Hacker Dojo, 855 Maude Ave.
At the free event, participants can bring in broken items that volunteers will assess and, if possible, help to repair. At past events, items have included bicycles, small household appliances, jewelry, furniture and electrical appliances, according to Repair Cafe Mountain View’s website.

Youth leadership program accepting applications
The E3 Youth Leadership & Philanthropy program is accepting applications from local high school students to participate in its next cohort, which will start later this year.
E3 is a program of the Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation and brings local students together to get leadership training and undertake community service projects, among other activities.
The program is open to students entering 10th or 11th grade who live or attend school in Mountain View, Los Altos or Los Altos Hills. This year’s cohort is set to run from late August or early September through May 2025. Students are provisionally admitted for a two-year term, with a third available, according to the community foundation’s website.
There is a $500 fee to participate, but financial aid is available. Applications are due March 22.

Mountain View teen center to hold career day
The View Teen Center is scheduled to host a teen career day from 9:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.
The free event is an opportunity for local teens to learn about different industries and talk to professionals about potential jobs and volunteer positions. The event will feature a career panel, job and volunteer fair, raffle and breakfast, according to the teen center website.
The View Teen Center, 263 Escuela Ave., is free for all Mountain View and Los Altos students in 6th through 12th grade.
