With Independence Day coming up this week, a number of local government offices and public services will be closed or running on a limited schedule on Thursday.

City services
City of Mountain View: City Hall and most city departments and facilities will be closed on Thursday. Emergency services will continue operating. For more information, visit mountainview.gov.
Mountain View Public Library: The library will be closed on Thursday. For more information, visit library.mountainview.gov.
Transportation
Caltrain: Caltrain will use a weekend schedule on Thursday, with the addition of a special southbound local train to accommodate those leaving after the San Francisco waterfront fireworks show. Large crowds are expected, according to the transit agency, and the last train will depart from San Francisco at 12:05 a.m. For more information, visit caltrain.com.

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority: VTA buses and light rail will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Thursday. For more information, visit vta.org.
