Two Mountain View men were arrested Sunday morning after they allegedly attacked another man with a knife in the parking lot of a local taqueria, according to the Mountain View Police Department.

Officers responded to a call around 12:28 a.m. on Oct. 13, reporting a fight outside Jennifer’s Taqueria at 1929 Latham St. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who said that he had been attacked by two men, according to police.

The victim told the officers that he was “minding his own business” in the parking lot when several men started yelling at him for no apparent reason. The confrontation then escalated into a physical fight as one man pulled out a knife and held it towards the victim’s neck while another man punched him in the face, police said.

The victim identified two suspects in the attack, a 19-year-old Mountain View resident and a 44-year-old Mountain View resident. Police arrested the men on suspicion of battery and for brandishing a weapon. They were booked into San Jose Main Jail, according to police.
