A string of burglaries at an apartment building in Mountain View led to an investigation and the arrest of a Santa Clara woman yesterday afternoon, according to a statement from the Mountain View Police Department.

In November, police launched an investigation after they received several reports of burglaries happening at an apartment complex on the 100 block of Lena Way. Police identified a 34-year-old Santa Clara woman as a suspect in two of the burglaries, according to the statement.

The woman was arrested in her home in Santa Clara on Wednesday, Jan. 16. She was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for suspicion of burglary and a probation violation, police said.

The suspect is being held without bail and has a scheduled court hearing on Jan. 21, according to county records.
