View the Voter Guide ➔Cornes’ campaign has brought in roughly $6,800 in donations this year, according to campaign finance disclosures. She also carried over about $2,100 from her previous campaign. The other two candidates in the race – Catherine Vonnegut and Sanjay Dave – have filed paperwork indicating that they plan to raise and spend less than $2,000 this year. That’s the threshold under which candidates don’t have to disclose more specific campaign finance information.
Cornes and Vonnegut both currently serve on MVLA’s board, while Dave was previously a trustee from 2016-2024. Starting this election, the district switched from at-large to by-area elections. Trustee Area 3 encompasses an eastern portion of Mountain View south of Central Expressway, including the Cuesta Park, Old Mountain View and Shoreline West neighborhoods.
Mountain View resident Jennifer Tirva made the largest contribution to Cornes’ campaign, donating $700.
