Raising Cane’s is coming to the City of Souls.

The popular chicken finger chain is opening its first Peninsula outpost – and its 100th California location – on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Colma. Known for its crispy chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, signature One Cane’s sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw and sweet tea, Raising Cane’s newest location – the fifth in the Bay Area – will have a double lane drive-thru, an outdoor patio and “photographs of local artifacts and celebrities” from Colma, according to a press release.

Night owls take note: The chicken joint will be open until 2 a.m. Sunday to Wednesday and 3:30 a.m. Thursday to Saturday.

To celebrate its 100th California restaurant, Raising Cane’s will select 100 customers present for Colma’s opening day (ages 13 and older) to win free Raising Cane’s for a year. Additionally, the first 100 dine-in customers who purchase a Combo at Colma’s Raising Cane’s will receive a commemorative beanie and a free Box Combo card.

Also on opening day, the Westlake School of Performing Arts dance team, the El Camino High School cheerleading squad, and the Jefferson High School band and cheerleading squad will all perform. Expect live event painting by Filipino artist Venazir Martinez and music by DJ Daghe.

“Chicken Finger fans rejoice! No longer will you have to cross the bridge over to the East Bay to enjoy our craveable Chicken Finger meals as we step onto the Peninsula and bring our signature ONE LOVE ® to the excited Colma Community,” said Chris Esteban, Raising Cane’s area leader of restaurants, in a press release. “We’re proud to continue our expansion here in San Francisco and mark 100 Restaurants in the great state of California – now let’s eat!”

Todd Graves opened the first Raising Cane’s in 1996 at Louisiana State University, naming his restaurant after his yellow Labrador, Cane. Despite receiving the lowest grade in his college course for his business plan for what would later become Raising Cane’s, the company now has over 800 restaurants in more than 40 states.
