Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 27, this year and various public services in Mountain View and the surrounding area will be closed in observance of the holiday.

City services
City of Mountain View: City Hall and most city services will be closed on Monday, although emergency services will continue to be available. For more information, visit mountainview.gov.
Mountain View Library: The library will be closed on Monday. For more information, visit library.mountainview.gov.
Transportation
Caltrain: Caltrain will operate a weekend schedule on Monday. There will be no Caltrain shuttle service. The customer service center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit caltrain.com.
SamTrans: SamTrans bus routes will operate using a Sunday schedule on Monday. San Mateo County Transit District administrative offices will be closed. For more information, visit samtrans.com.
Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority: VTA will be using its Sunday schedule on Monday. For more information, visit vta.org.
Federal, state offices
U.S. Postal Service: Post offices will be closed for retail transactions on Monday and regular mail won’t be delivered. Priority Mail Express will continue to be delivered. For more information, visit usps.com.
Schools
Mountain View Whisman School District, Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District: Mountain View’s public schools will be closed on Monday. For more information, visit mvwsd.org and mvla.net.
