Mark your calendars for two weeks from now, when the Mountain View Library Foundation hosts Mardi Gras 2006.
The nighttime celebration on Saturday, Feb. 25, will include a dinner of jambalaya, corn fritters, Cajun appetizers and “hurricane” drinks in a festive Mardi Gras atmosphere, along with a silent auction with the opportunity to win vacations, rounds of golf, meals, show tickets and more.
Bay Area musical group Sprang-a-Lang — featuring Tony Lindsay, eight-time Grammy winner and former lead singer of Santana — will provide entertainment. The Cole Hamlin Trio will round out the evening with blues and jazz.
Tickets are $60 a person in advance and $70 at the door. The event will support Mountain View library services and will take place at the downtown library at 585 Franklin St. For questions or to reserve tickets, call (650) 526-7014.
