In the spirit of the holiday season, Saint Francis High School’s service club is currently sponsoring a coat and blanket drive that will run until Dec. 12.

The club is asking students to bring in blankets, sleeping bags, clean sheets, pillows, heavy coats, jackets, fleeces, sweaters and hooded sweatshirts. The drive will benefit St. Anthony’s Clothes Closet, which is affiliated with St. Anthony’s Padua Dining Room, a nonprofit organization providing services to residents in need.

The coat and blanket drive is an annual service club event, following their yearly Thanksgiving food drive. This past Thanksgiving, club members helped feed more than 500 families, packing 508 vouchers and purchasing 530 vouchers for turkeys.
