Visitors to the San Antonio shopping complex will now be able to shop at Kohl’s, which opened its doors Wednesday in Mountain View and in six other new locations around the San Francisco area. The Kohl’s store in Mountain View fills the space once occupied by Mervyn’s, and continues a trend in that shopping area of ever-evolving retailers.
According to a press release the seven new Bay Area stores have created nearly 1,000 jobs in an economy where there are limited new opportunities and a surplus of people looking for employment.
Kohl’s is a family-focused department store that offers moderately priced merchandise ranging from clothing to furniture and home decor. Among its offerings are celebrity lines from Lauren Conrad, Vera Wang and pro skater Tony Hawk.
