Community members can stop by their local farmers’ markets this weekend to talk about issues of interest and concern with Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian. He will be in Mountain View for his “sidewalk office hours” on July 16.
Simitian said that his office hours allow him to stay in touch with residents in District 5.
“Office hours are a wonderful way for me to meet with constituents, to learn more about what’s on their mind,” he said. “I think folks value (the) opportunity to connect with their elected officials.”
No appointment is needed.
Simitian will host sidewalk office hours at the following locations:
Los Altos Farmers’ Market
Second Street in Los Altos
Thursday, July 13, 5-6:30 p.m.
Cupertino Farmers’ Market
Creekside Park on Miller Avenue in Cupertino
Friday, July 14, 10-11:30 a.m.
Downtown Palo Alto Farmers’ Market
Gilman Street in Palo Alto
Saturday, July 15, 9-10:30 a.m.
Saratoga Farmers’ Market
West Valley Community College, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga
Saturday, July 15, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Mountain View Farmers’ Market
Mountain View Caltrain station, 600 W. Evelyn Ave. in Mountain View
Sunday, July 16, 10-11:30 a.m.

Don’t ask Simitian about the diversion of air traffic over his town of Palo Alto to over Mountain View. He will just play dumb.
Lol—learn to disagree with respect. Supervisor Simitian works, so does Joe Simitian, even Mr. Simitian, but not “Simitian”. If you don’t respect others, you don’t deserve any yourself.
The article refers to Supervisor Joe Simitian as Simitian – twice. Where is your omplaint about the article? And Trump is Trump.
@Lol,
Maybe you should actually go talk to Simitian about what is happening with the air traffic instead of just sitting in your basement imagining nefarious conspiracies.
While you are there you should also ask Simitian about the class he offers in effective advocacy.
Looking forward to your post on what you learned from talking to Simitian.
@Oswald (aka Lee Harvey or Joe?): how about if Joe Simitian informs his north county cobstituents in writing why he headed a committee to devise proposals to the FAA that left out anyone from Mountain View or Los Altos. Hey Joe?
Hey LOL, ha ha ha, what are you smoking? Have you even read the Select Committee report, or is that beyond your 8th grade education level?
