Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials reportedly targeted an apartment complex on Escuela Avenue in Mountain View early this morning, according to witnesses present during the raid.

Notifications circulated through the Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network reported that a large ICE team arrived at the Park Vista apartment complex at 316 Escuela Ave. sometime around 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3.

ICE officials notified the Mountain View Police Department that they were in the city this morning, but local law enforcement was not involved in the operation, Mountain View police spokeswoman Katie Nelson told the Voice.

Two separate reports from rapid response team members made around 1 p.m. Thursday indicated that one person, a young man, was detained during the ICE operation.

Representatives from the San Francisco regional ICE office confirmed there was enforcement activity in Mountain View, but declined to provide additional details without the name and birth date of the man who was detained.

Rosa de Leon from Sacred Heart Community Services, a member of the rapid response team, said that anyone needing assistance due to ICE operations in Santa Clara County may call 408-290-1144 for immediate help.

  1. It’s about time we got some enforcement. The local leftist tinged government sure isn’t cooperating with federal law…so ICE has to show up to do it themselves.
    What is so hard and awful about detaining illegal alien criminals temporarily and calling ICE? I don’t understand this mental disorder that has gotten into the progressive mindset.
    —>>>>> and hey “Resist”… did you doa sweep with your own personal census of the entire complex yourself… to know who was there? I didn’t think so… so don’t make claims that you can’t back up with facts.
    I for one do not want to wait for another Portland or San Francisco incident to happen here in Silicon Valley…or heaven forbid an MS13 related crime.
