A 34-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested early Saturday after he allegedly grabbed his ex-wife at Alberto’s Night Club in downtown Mountain View, yelled at her and tried to push her into a nearby car.
Police say that the man approached his ex-wife, a 33-year-old Santa Cruz woman who was at the club with friends, at around 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 20. The man reportedly found her inside the club and yelled at her to leave, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards an alleyway adjacent to the club when she refused, according to police spokeswoman Katie Nelson.
During the altercation, the man began pulling her towards a car and tried to push her inside, Nelson said.
A friend of the victim called police, who found the suspect was still trying to pull the victim away when officers arrived, Nelson said. He allegedly resisted officers’ instructions and refused to sit down.
The man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, false imprisonment, violation of a court order and resisting arrest. He was transported to Santa Clara County jail with a bail set at $131,000.

Alberto’s?? Is this on Castro? Or a side street?
Its on a side street and has been a Mexican dance bar for years. Never heard any trouble except this.

Santa Cruz man and Santa Cruz woman at Alberto’s in Mountain View? It is a long drive. Interesting that people from Santa Cruz come there all the way for a Friday night? Santa Cruz is short of night clubs and dance places?
