Judge dismisses Palo Alto police officers’ suit over Black Lives Matter mural
In a surprising reversal, a Santa Clara Superior Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit from a group of Palo Alto police officers who claimed that the city had harassed them by failing to remove certain images in a “BLACK LIVES MATTER” mural that was painted in front of City Hall in 2020.
Air District extends Spare the Air Alert through Thursday
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has extended Wednesday’s Spare the Air Alert for smog through Thursday. The district said Wednesday it expects air quality to again be unhealthy for another day. “Very high inland temperatures in the 100’s and weak afternoon sea breeze, along with motor vehicle exhaust, will continue to create elevated concentrations of ozone, or smog,” the district said in a statement. Spare the Air Alerts are issued when ozone pollution is forecast to reach unhealthy levels. Ozone can cause throat irritation, congestion and chest pain. Stuffed bagels are now in Campbell, featuring Asian-inspired flavors
Los Angeles’s stuffed bagel craze has finally worked its way up north to Campbell – now, with an Asian twist. Recently popularized by Calic Bagel after taste tests and at-home recreations went viral on TikTok in April, these bagels are partially cut, stuffed with a cream cheese filling, then dunked into flavored butter and baked for extra crispness.
