Teens to sing for female empowerment at youth concert
What happens when a woman takes power? That’s not a rhetorical or trick question. It’s the title of a local youth choir’s upcoming spring concert slated for May 18 in Palo Alto, at which around 75 teens will perform.

On May 18, he’ll conduct a concert by the youth orchestra’s senior ensemble that includes a piece key to his own growth as a musician and a concerto based on blues, hip-hop and speed metal.

American diner Jack’s Prime is relocating and reopening as Maverick Jack’s San Mateo
After 15 years in San Mateo, modern American diner Jack’s Prime is moving – just down the street to The Villa. The new location of Jack’s Prime, formerly Polynesian restaurant Tokemoana’s, will be renamed Maverick Jack’s San Mateo and will keep its menu (think burgers, fries, salads and sundaes) and ambiance (modernized retro ‘50s) while introducing 30% more capacity for parking.
