St. Francis, Los Altos, Gunn, Mountain View and Castilleja each received an at-large bid into the Central Coast Section girls golf championships, joining automatic qualifiers Menlo-Atherton and Palo Alto in the field of 17 teams.

The tournament is scheduled for Tuesday at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch in Monterey County. Golfers start to tee off at 7 a.m.

Palo Alto won the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League tournament and Menlo-Atherton won a CCS play-in match to advance.

St. Francis finished second to West Catholic Athletic League champion Valley Christian and Castilleja was second to Harker in the West Bay Athletic League tournament.

Los Altos, Gunn and Mountain View each finished behind Palo Alto and SCVAL second-place finisher Lynbrook.

In addition to individuals on qualifying teams, 18 additional golfers join the field, including Menlo School’s Joelle Kim.
