Los Altos beat Burlingame 6-1 to reach Thursday’s semifinals.
Juniors Melody Ghaffari, Miu Kikuchi and Madison Chin each delivered straight set victories in singles play and Los Altos downed Burlingame 6-1 in the second round of the Central Coast Section girls team tennis tournament Wednesday.
Sixth-seeded Los Altos (16-7) became the fourth SCVAL team to advance into the quarterfinals and will play West Catholic Athletic League champion and No. 3 seed St. Francis (16-2) at 2 p.m. Thursday on the Cuesta Park courts.
Peninsula Athletic League champion Menlo-Atherton also won Tuesday, beating league rival Carlmont 6-1. The fifth-seeded Bears (18-4) host Homestead (10-9) on Thursday.
Homestead is the only unseeded team remaining in the tournament. Homestead knocked off No. 4 Cupertino 5-2 in Tuesday’s second round.
No. 2 Menlo School (19-4) hosts No. 7 Mountain View and No. 8 Monta Vista plays top-seeded and defending CCS champion Harker.
Los Altos also swept doubles play, getting wins from Sophia Shao and Sofia Mujica at No. 1 doubles, Isabelle Baker and Yiwei Liu at No. 2 doubles and Tyra Bogan and Sania Rashid at No. 3 doubles.

M-A defeated Carlmont for the third time this season as Ava Martin at No. 1 singles and Lila Motamedi at No. 4 singles each recorded 6-0, 6-0 victories.
M-A’s No. 2 singles Tess Ellingson won her match 6-1, 6-0 and No. 3 Emma Williams recorded a 6-2, 7-5 win.
Callista Mille and Frankie Lukas at No. 2 doubles went three sets to gain their victory 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (6) for the Bears.
Christine Herbst and Johnanna Gulliksson won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
