All eastbound lanes of Central Expressway between Castro Street and the State Highway 85 off-ramp in Mountain View are back open after being shut down for more than 4 hours early Monday morning due to a traffic collision.

The Mountain View Police Department announced at 9:15 a.m. April 27 that the roadway had resumed its normal traffic flow. Before 5 a.m., the police closed eastbound traffic through the corridor, keeping the westbound turn from the Highway 85 off-ramp open, according to an initial advisory

Police warned commuters to allow extra travel time while crews responded to the crash. No details about injuries were immediately available.
