Armed robbery, El Camino and Sylvan, 2/13
A male victim was walking along Sylvan Avenue on Monday afternoon when a man drove up alongside him and asked him if he wanted to buy a VCR. The man then pulled over and got out of the vehicle with what appeared to be a VCR box in one hand and a three-inch folding knife in the other.
The victim told police he could not understand the language the suspect was speaking, and thought maybe it was Spanish. Out of fear, the victim gave the man all his money, at which point the suspect left with the money and the VCR box.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years old with gray or black hair. He was clean-shaven and wearing a gray or green striped long-sleeve T-shirt. He was driving a 2004 Chevy HHR, similar to a PT Cruiser.

A 15-year-old male was sitting on a park bench in the early afternoon next to his mountain bike when a suspect ran up from behind and punched him, knocking him over. The suspect took the bike, but the victim grabbed for it. The suspect threatened him, pulled the bike free and fled on it.
Police say they are looking for a white male adult in his 20s, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans. The victim’s bike was red and black.
