The biggest Mountain View business forum of the year is coming in mid-May, and organizers have hooked a big fish to keynote the event.

Google’s project manager for its Mountain View Wi-Fi project, Minnie Ingersoll, will deliver the keynote speech during the Market Place business and technology forum, being held on Wednesday, May 17 at the Computer History Museum.

Sponsored by the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, the event begins at 4 p.m. with Ingersoll’s keynote. At 4:30, visitors are free to visit various booths and displays until closing time at 7 p.m. Large local companies, including Google and Microsoft, will participate, as well as smaller firms, restaurants and other businesses.

In addition to food and beverages — and an ideal chance to forge new connections — visitors will find music, drawings for prizes (including two round-trip tickets from Southwest Airlines), hands-on military endurance tests, interactive electronics displays and other business and home displays.

Admission is free with a business card, or $5. The Computer History Museum is located at 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Mountain View.
