As winds blustered on Sunday afternoon, a large tree came down on the train tracks near San Antonio Station in Mountain View, disrupting service to and from the station with no estimated restoration time provided by Caltrain.
Around 3:39 p.m. on Feb. 4, a northbound train reported that a tree was blocking the tracks in both directions, about 200 feet south of San Antonio Station. Caltrain said personnel were trying to remove the tree as quickly as possible, but that it likely would take several hours.

In another update, Caltrain reported that overhead wires were affected by the downed tree.
It also said that VTA would honor the tickets of customers who were trying to use Caltrain services north or south of San Antonio Station.
The station was cordoned off by police tape and several police vehicles were monitoring the scene.
Traffic lights, at the corner of El Camino Real and Castro Street, also came down as a result of Sunday’s winter storm, and PG&E had reported several power outages in Mountain View as well.

Thank you for the updates Mountain View Voice. I couldn’t help but notice during such a large storm the information normally provided by Mountain View Police seems to be lacking and very generalized compared to past posting????
