Grateful Dead’s ‘film and video guy’ recalls ‘devil’ of a time

Filmmaker Len Dell’Amico got a unique perspective on the second half of the Grateful Dead’s 30-year existence as both a creative insider and a friend, particularly of frontman Jerry Garcia. He shares memories of those experiences in his memoir “Friend of the Devil,” which he’ll discuss at Kepler’s on Aug. 17.
