Theater: “Distracted” at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts
TheatreWorks presents “ Distracted,” a comedy about plugged-in kids, anxious parents, neurotic neighbors and a drug- and technology-addled society. At the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts’ MainStage, 500 Castro St. Show times are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and/or 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 and/or 7 p.m., through April 26. Class: “Meditation for Beginners” at East West Bookstore
East West Bookstore will host a meditation class for beginners on Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. Tushti Conti, co-manager of East West with a background in medicine, will help beginners learn to meditate using imagery, breath work and centering techniques.
