Concert: Lynn Harrell and Friends at MVCPA
One of the world’s great cellists, Grammy-winner Lynn Harrell performs with top orchestras in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, London and Berlin. Presented by Chamber Music San Francisco as part of its Inaugural 2009 Series Season. Monday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. on the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts’ SecondStage. Art: Honor Your Mother ceramics exhibit
The students of the Mountain View-Los Altos Adult Education ceramics class are having an exhibit at the Mountain View Senior Center. Items on display are in honor of Mother Earth and all mothers. The exhibit is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday through June 3. Free. The Mountain View Senior Center is located at 266 Escuela Ave.
Performance: Open Mic Night at Red Rock
Red Rock Coffee’s Open Mic night happens every Monday from 7-10 p.m. Participants get 10 minutes — enough time for two songs, a few poems or a stand-up routine. Covers are fine, but original work is encouraged. Sign up at the cafe at 6:30 p.m. Red Rock is located at 201 Castro St.
