Event: Family Science Fair at SETI
The SETI Institute is hosting an open house with hands-on science activities geared toward kids ages 8-15 on Saturday, July 23, at 189 Bernardo Ave., Mountain View. 1-4 p.m. Scientists from the SETI Institute, which searches for extraterrestrial life in solar system and beyond, will discuss their work.
Garden tour: Edible landscaping
A self-guided tour of local edible gardens and the Common Ground demonstration garden will be held Saturday, July 23, at Common Ground Garden Supply and Education Center, 559 College Ave., Palo Alto.
A free, dog-friendly open house with raffle giveaways for both canines and humans, dog obedience demonstrations, dog costume contests, pet adoptions, family Zumba, fitness center tours, a Kid Zone, massages and more, will be held Sunday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oshman Family JCC, Jessica Lynn Saal Town Square, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto.
