The Stanford Summer Chorus will be presenting a concert of early American choral music showcasing a variety of music from colonial times to the 20th century Saturday, Aug. 6, at 8 p.m. at Stanford Memorial Church, Stanford.
Theater: Woman’s Will at Rengstorff House
Woman’s Will, a Bay Area Shakespeare troupe, returns to the gardens of the Rengstorff House for a free performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Sunday, Aug. 7, 1-3 p.m. Rengstorff House at Shoreline, 3070 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View.
The Palo Alto Buddhist Temple holds its annual Obon festival, featuring a silent auction, Japanese and American food, music, dance and cultural exhibits, this weekend, Aug. 6 and 7, from 5-10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Palo Alto Buddhist Temple, 2751 Louis Road, Palo Alto.
