Author Jude Berman presents her new techno-thriller “The Die,” inspired by the ancient Sanskrit epic the “Mahabharata,” set in the near future, and serving as a commentary on the present.
The story follows Darah, a Silicon Valley game developer who learns of a nefarious international conspiracy involving mind control via neuroscience and quantum computing. Darah and her friends must decide whether to keep mum about their dark discovery or stand up for what they believe in and risk losing everything.
