Seattle-based author Elaine U. Cho will visit Books Inc. Mountain View in celebration of her recently published debut science fiction novel “Ocean’s Godori.”
The story follows Ocean Yoon, descended from generations of haenyeo (famed female divers from Korea’s Jeju Island) and living in a world where Korea runs the Alliance, a powerful space agency from which Ocean, a pilot, has been estranged after a mission gone wrong.
Conflicts, romance and adventure ensue as Ocean and a crew of fellow misfits find themselves embroiled in a high-level conflict when her best friend is framed for the murder of his family.
Cho will be in conversation with Bay Area author Julia Vee.
