A La Carte & Art seeking volunteers
Organizers of the upcoming A La Carte & Art festival seeks locals who like to meet the public in an outdoor setting, and ask that they take a turn pouring beer and wine at next weekend’s festival.To volunteer for a three and half hour shift, call (650) 964-3395 or e-mail mvcba@aol.com. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt.
CultureFest taking applications
CultureFest 2006 is now accepting applications for merchandise and food vendors, cultural performers and volunteers. The event will take place July 22 and 23 — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday — on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View.
