RSVP for Cinco de Mayo tourney
The Mountain View Educational Foundation will host a golf tournament and a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Friday, May 5. The tournament, which will take place at Shoreline Golf Club from 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., costs $125 per person and includes the price of the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta.The party, which includes a silent auction, casino games, appetizers and entertainment, costs $45 in advance and $50 at the door and takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. at Michael’s at Shoreline. RSVPs for both events must be sent no later than April 28, and registration forms can be found online at www.mvef.org, along with more information about the Mountain View Educational Foundation.

CSMA buys property for expansion
The Community School of Music and Arts at Finn Center has purchased a three-quarter-acre parcel of land at 250 San Antonio Circle to expand the center’s current lot. The land will provide additional parking, as well as the possibility of expansion for more classrooms and meeting rooms.The property, owned since 1956 by San Francisco attorney Varnum Paul, it is located next to Finn Center off San Antonio Road and Central Expressway near the Caltrain station.
“Purchasing this land is an extraordinary opportunity for CSMA,” said executive director Angela McConnell, “The land will ensure adequate parking for parents, students and the entire community.”
Donate to support Alta Vista High’s yearbook
In an effort to raise funds for its upcoming yearbook, Alta Vista High School will hold a rummage sale on May 13. Donations for the rummage sale are needed so that the school can reach its goal of raising at least $1,000 for the yearbook.Anytime during school hours, donations may be brought to Alta Vista High School — the continuation high school for the Mountain View-Los Altos School District — located at 1299 Bryant Ave. Those who wish to donate may also call the office for more information, or to arrange a pick-up, at (650) 691-2433. The rummage sale will take place at Alta Vista on May 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
