An early morning one-alarm fire at a Mountain View apartment building Saturday caused an estimated $30,000 worth of damage, the Mountain View Fire Department reported.

On Saturday, May 27, at about 5:46 a.m., firefighters responded to a one-story eight-unit apartment building at 315 Easy St. after receiving reports of smoke coming from the building.

Crews arrived at the scene within four minutes to find smoke billowing from the apartment. Firefighters forced their way into the apartment and aggressively attacked the fire, extinguishing the blaze within 30 minutes, the department reported.
