This week in Community Briefs, Mountain View residents have options to recycle their holiday trees, the Mountain View Whisman School District created an award honoring Rose Filicetti and the Santa Clara County Board of Education named a new president and vice president.
Special run-off election for county assessor on Tuesday
A special run-off election will take place in Santa Clara County on Tuesday as voters decide who will be the next County Assessor. Candidates Neysa Fligor, Los Altos vice mayor and current assistant assessor, and Rishi Kumar, Saratoga City Councilmember and tech executive, are on the ballot, neither of which garnered more than 50% of the vote in the Nov. 5 election, triggering a run-off.
