Dig into the Peninsula’s pub scene this St. Patrick’s Day weekend

I won’t be attending any Bay Area St. Patty’s celebrations. 

And that’s because I’ll be in Dublin, Ireland! That’s right, by the time you’re reading this newsletter, I will be dragging a suitcase through SFO security. I can’t seem to escape Dublin: I interned at a company in Dublin two years ago, went back last year and again am going back this year (I’m obsessed.)

A $145 omakase experience from Sushi Jin

Please don’t hate me for what I’m about to say: I generally don’t enjoy seafood.

Trust me, I wish I did. It’s so pretty, and so many people love it. To figure out if my taste buds were broken, I decided to make a reservation for a $145 omakase experience in Mountain View (which is on average $100-$200 less expensive than other omakase-style restaurants in the area). If omakase couldn’t convert me, I don’t think anything else could.
