St. Francis High announced the signing of 12 student-athletes Wednesday who will be pursuing their careers at the college level next fall.
The list includes senior volleyball player Madison Pietsch, who is joining nationally ranked USC as one of the nation’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class.
Pietsch and her teammates helped celebrate the day with an upset of NorCal’s top-rated Marin Catholic in Kentfield on Wednesday night. The Lancers play at No. 4 Menlo on Saturday night in the NorCal Regional semifinals.
Hailey Multz, who is headed to Cal State Long Beach, and Sara Withers, who signed with Villanova, are members of St. Francis’ water polo team which has advanced into the NorCal tournament that opens next week.
Seniors Brooke Deppiesse (Boston University for softball), Madison Franco (Portland for rowing), Jasmine Hsiao (Brown for softball), Isaiah Kerr (Montana for basketball), Wyatt King (Cal Poly for baseball), Ryan Luna (Presbyterian for wrestling), Bailey McDermott (Merrimack for softball), Jessica Oakland (Minnesota for softball), and Sydney Stewart (Washington for softball) also make up the extremely talented group of student-athletes.
